After the forced postponement of the initial date, today the first edition of the SNL Winter Playa de Aro has finally taken place, and it has done so on a truly memorable winter open water day..
The day has dawned cold, very cold, but with a completely clear sky, bright sun, and a clear and unusually flat sea, barely disturbed by a slight swell. An unusual combination in the middle of winter that has allowed for excellent conditions for open water swimming, with a water temperature of 13.3 degrees, which has tested the physical and mental capacity of all the brave swimmers who have today plunged into the sea ready to give their best.
The participation has been a complete success for this first edition, confirming that the Winter has come to stay. In the water, there was an atmosphere of overcoming, respect, and camaraderie, and outside of it, the SwimNoLimits spirit continued in the Village, where swimmers and their companions were able to share feelings while recovering with hot broth and chocolate lovingly prepared by the staff.
Once again, the sea has been the meeting point, but also the perfect excuse to strengthen community and live an experience that goes far beyond a simple journey.
