Last weekend we closed the 2025 season with the Montgó Experience, the grand final of the SwimNoLimits Cup, which gave us two intense days full of emotions in the heart of the Montgrí Natural Park.
🌞 Saturday: calm sea, sun, and good energy
On Saturday morning, we enjoyed spectacular weather, with calm seas and a water temperature of 20.5 °C, perfect for exploring the 3.4 km route.
Guided by the renowned coach and open water swimmer Jonathan Gómez, along with regular podium swimmers from SNL like Aleix Blanes and "TT" Juanan, we explore unique caves and corners of the southern coastline of Montgrí.
In the afternoon, our marine biologist Sonia Cervià revealed to us, in an enjoyable and fun way, the secrets and curiosities of our sea.
And to close the day, a dinner of the SNL Community with full capacity at the El Salat restaurant in Wecamp Cala Montgó: 85 swimnolimiters sharing experiences, laughter, and future projects.
🌬️ Sunday: competition with tramuntana
On Sunday, it dawned cold with a strong tramontana wind, which prevented swimming the original circuits due to waves of more than three meters outside the shelter of Cala Montgó.
Nevertheless, we were able to hold the event with an alternative 1,200 m circuit, which many participants completed by doing one, two, or three laps depending on the chosen distance.
An epic and brave day, with a great security setup and a community that once again demonstrated its passion for open water and its ability to overcome challenges.
🏆 Closing and awards
The day concluded with the award ceremony for the Montgó Experience and the SNL Cup 2025, bidding farewell with a "see you soon" and a strong desire to reunite for the upcoming challenges before the year ends.
